Our slogan -- On Hot Spot Tours you fish in deep waters -- is a short way of telling what the Apaja Standard is all about. We focus on fishing trips and don't do countryside sightseeing tours, neither outdoor party games, nor karaoke nights. We fish.It is not possible to become a good fishing guide on a one year adult education course; they don't teach the one single most important skill that a fishing guide needs in his profession -- the ability to fish and read the waters to keep customers' lines tight. You can learn the theory on a course, but it still is a long way from passing the tight requirements of the Apaja standard. The most important thing in fishing travel are getting catch and the fishing skills of the guide. That's why we go fishing, to catch fish. The Apaja standard is not a certificate on course participation, you'll have to show good skills in different kinds of fishing, abilities in getting along with various of customers, and in attending to their needs, as well as the ability to navigate safely. Our guides are well-known and acknowledged fishermen, they have experience of different ways of fishing accumulated with years, and they know their way about when they take customers fishing. The Apaja standard ensures quality fishing for the customer and the best quality money can buy. The excellent professional skills gained through the years show well in the catch of the customer, and that's what he paid for.
