Our boats
We fish on small boats that are easy to handle among islands. Depending on boat, there's room for four to nine customers per boat. Bigger groups fish on many small boats. The skippers are experienced navigators and experts in their field.
Casting boats
Silver Eagle is a respectable boat with aluminium body and fiberglass interior. The boat is 6.3 meters long and 2.4 meters wide. It goes very smoothly even in rough waves. It is very steady and has plenty of room for even four casting fishers. The maximum the boat can take is skipper plus 6 customers, but we recommend full load only for casting in sheltered bays, or for moving from one island to another. The recommended maximum for casting is skipper plus four customers. One of our boats has double 50 hp engines, and two have double 60 hp engines. Double engines are just one example of our extreme safety measures.
Trolling boats
For salmon fishing we recommend FishStella Cabin boats, which we have two available. The six-metre boat with hard cabin can take six fishers in addition to the skipper. The boats have all the latest and hottest trolling gear. The skippers are salmon fanatics to the bone. The boats have been popular in late autumn fishing, as the warm cabin brings comfort for cool days of fishing.
Sea diesel chugging at Porkkala
When fishing is not the only goal of a sea trip, we recommend fishing from a 9.5 meter covered islander boat, for those who value unhurried traditional island transportation. Our boat, named Merisaurus, can take even eight persons. The boat has all commodities Skipper's smoked flounders, islander delicacies and great stories about the marine history of Porkkala have been the highlights of many trips. Popular ways of fishing have been bottom jigging the big perch and casting. We also cast from shore on the islands.
